IJIMS IAIN Salatiga The Second Best Journal in Asia

SALATIGA-Journal of Islamic Studies IAIN Salatiga Indonesian Journal of Islam and Muslim Societies (IJIMS), which is under the management of the Postgraduate program of the State Islamic Institute of Islamic Studies (IAIN) Salatiga can occupy the second-best journal in Asia. This journal also previously received the title of The Best Quartile 1 (Q1) in the Scimago Journal Rank (SJR) for the field of religious studies.

The Chancellor of IAIN Salatiga, Prof. Dr. Zakiyuddin Baidhawy, M.Ag., said that after being named the best journal of Islamic studies in Q1, IJIMS had been ranked as the second-best journal in Asia according to SJR's version with a journal's impact score of 0.161.


"Once again, this is proof of the seriousness and consistency of the Indonesian Journal of Islam and Muslim Societies (IJIMS) to become a vanguard journal on an international scale," said the Chancellor.

Furthermore, Prof. Zakiyuddin said that IJIMS is an academic tower for the achievements of IAIN Salatiga to welcome the transformation into UIN Salatiga. "The journal will continue to strive to be the first best in Asia," he continued.

Since its first publication in 2011-2019, IJIMS has succeeded in publishing 18 editions with writers from within and outside the country. Various awards were also won by IAIN Salatiga, namely as the best State Islamic Religious University (PTKIN) in the field of research and scientific publications in the management of international journals 2019 from the Ministry of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia and received an award as a reputable international journal The Best Quartile 1 (Q1) at the Biannual event. Conference on Research Results (BCRR) 2019 at UIN Gunung Djati Bandung.
