 Pada bulan Juni, Clarivate, raksasa analitik dalam penerbitan akademik, meluncurkan pembaruan tahun 2021 untuk Laporan Kutipan Jurnal (JCR) bersama dengan metrik baru yang disebut Indikator Kutipan Jurnal. Sebagian besar dari kita akrab dengan Journal Impact Factor (JIF) JCR, yang telah menjadi ukuran standar dampak kutipan jurnal dan dirujuk oleh komunitas ilmiah untuk menilai kualitas, jangkauan, dan integritas sumber konten penelitian. Jadi mengapa perlu metrik lain?

Berikut adalah lima hal yang perlu Anda ketahui untuk memahami metrik baru ini: apa itu metrik, cara kerjanya, lokasinya, potensi manfaatnya, dan kekurangannya.

Definisi Journal Citation Reports (JCR)

 Journal Citation Reports (JCR) adalah publikasi tahunan oleh Clarivate Analytics (sebelumnya merupakan kekayaan intelektual Thomson Reuters). Ini telah terintegrasi dengan Web of Science dan diakses dari Web of Science-Core Collections.
