The release was held in the KH Building Meeting Room. Hasyim Asyari campus III on Monday (31/7).
"The existence of International KKN in Kuala Lumpur, Kinabalu, and Sabah is part of the commitment to increase student mobility at UIN Salatiga. Currently only 15 people have departed, but next year we are targeting more students to take part in the student mobility program. "Previously, we have also sent five students to take part in the Nusantara KKN in Kalimantan," he said further.
Prof. Zakiyuddin also conveyed UIN Salatiga's next plans for internationalization programs, "In Malaysia there are many Community Learning Centers / CLCs that need human resources. This certainly opens up opportunities for us to carry out KKN. Apart from that, UIN Salatiga has also started a program to repatriate children of migrant workers through education. For the initial stage, there were six children of migrant workers who graduated from junior high school who were given scholarships to continue their studies in Indonesia. "In the future, this number will continue to increase, we will also open up opportunities for the children of migrant workers to continue their studies at UIN Salatiga."
"We will try various things to make student mobility easier . This convenience must of course be accompanied by student efforts. "I hope students can actively seek out information about various student mobility programs ," he said later.
Lastly, he hopes that students who take part in the International KKN program can become UIN Salatiga ambassadors who leave a good and positive impression, "Hopefully they will always be successful and healthy, and that their affairs will run smoothly while undergoing KKN."
According to the report provided by the Dean of FTIK UIN Salatiga, Prof. Mansur, the fifteen students will take part in KKN in Malaysia throughout August-September 2023.
