Apa yang perlu diperhatikan dalam proses Indeksasi ke WOS
Berikut ini adalah screenshot list ideal sebuah jurnal yang ingin terindeks di Web of Science. Screenshot ini adalah sharing pengalaman editor jurnal Korea yang berada di Q2 di scopus bernama Sun Huh. Dia adalah editor jurnal korea terindeks ESCI We of Science bernama Archives of Plastic Surgery. Terdapat 15 poin penting untuk mencapai level indeks yang lebih tinggi setelah mencapai ESCI (Emerging Sources Citation Index) menuju SCIE (Science Citation Index Expanded).
Dari 15 poin ini ada beberapa hal yang penting:
- Jurnal setidaknya terbit 3 edisi secara reguler dan setidaknya menerbitkan 20 naskah dalam satu tahun.
- Jurnal harus diterbitkan dalam bahasa Inggris dengan kualitas editing bahasa level internasional.
- Waktu submit sampai publish kurang dari satu tahun.
- Anggota dewan editor minimal dari 15 negara.
- Dalam satu edisi diversitas penulis setidaknya dari 10 negara.
Khusus untuk submission jurnal dari Indonesia yang submit ke web of science. ada beberapa tips and tricks yang penting untuk dipersiapkan.
1. Jangan pernah menampilkan info berbahasa indonesia di web site termasuk judul-judul naskah di table of contents. Jika didapati oleh editor WoS ada judul berbahasa lokal langsung kena rejection dalam 2 minggu. Sebaiknya yang tampil di table of contents dan semua info di web harus berbahasa Inggris.
2. Untuk tampilan PDF boleh full text dalam bahasa lokal seperti bahasa Indonesia tapi pastikan judul, abstrak dan kata kunci dibuat dwi bahasa Inggris dan Indonesia. Dan juga wajib ada referensi berbahasa Inggris di bibliografi dan body text.
3. Jumlah terbitan per issue harus konsisten. Jika terbit 6 naskah per issue dari awal jika ada yang 7 atau 8 atau 5 naskah ada direject oleh team WoS.
4. Cek betul-betul grammar di web journal. Pernah ada jurnal yang direject karena salah dalam menulis ”research consent” dituliskan ”research concern”.
5. Pastikan identitas asli responden disembunyikan. Jangan menyebut nama asli dan umur responden tapi seizin mereka.
6. Publication ethics harus ada novelty dan tidak boleh mengkopi dari publication ethics jurnal lain. Semua bentuk rejection dari editor WoS selalu mengatakan publication ethics tidak boleh meniru dari jurnal lain tapi sayangnya team WoS tidak pernah menyebutkan seperti apa contoh poin ideal. Dibandingkan dengan team Scopus mereka lebih mudah dan ringan dalam menyatakan syarat journal inclusion dan sebagai indexing internasional kita bisa belajar setidaknya ada tujuh poin yang idealnya dinyatakan dalam laman publication ethics.

Tugas Pokok dan Fungsi Kepala Pusat Publikasi dan Rumah Jurnal
Pusat Publikasi dan Rumah Jurnal yang berada di bawah naungan Lembaga Penelitian dan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (LPPM) UIN Salatiga adalah sebuah unit kerja yang bertugas untuk mengembangkan dan mengelola publikasi ilmiah dan jurnal akademik yang diterbitkan oleh UIN Salatiga.
Pusat ini memiliki beberapa program kerja, antara lain: pengembangan sistem penerbitan jurnal dan publikasi ilmiah UIN Salatiga, pengembangan kualitas isi dan tampilan jurnal dan publikasi ilmiah, pelatihan dan konsultasi bagi penulis dan editor jurnal, serta pengelolaan arsip publikasi ilmiah dan jurnal.
Dalam menjalankan kegiatannya, Pusat Publikasi dan Rumah Jurnal ini mengedepankan prinsip kecanggihan teknologi dan profesionalisme dalam mengelola publikasi ilmiah dan jurnal akademik. Pusat ini juga berupaya untuk meningkatkan kualitas publikasi ilmiah dan jurnal akademik yang diterbitkan oleh UIN Salatiga, serta mempromosikan hasil-hasil penelitian dan karya ilmiah dari staf dan mahasiswa UIN Salatiga kepada masyarakat ilmiah internasional.
Pusat ini memiliki tim yang terdiri dari para editor, pengelola arsip, dan teknisi komputer yang memiliki pengalaman dalam pengelolaan publikasi ilmiah dan jurnal akademik. Selain itu, pusat ini juga menjalin kerjasama dengan lembaga-lembaga penerbitan internasional dan nasional dalam pengembangan jaringan publikasi ilmiah.
Tugas Pokok dan Fungsi
- Menyusun rencana kerja tahunan kegiatan publikasi dan Jurnal UIN Salatiga.
- Membuat laporan kegiatan jurnal UIN Salatiga kepada Ketua LP2M.
- Bertanggung jawab terhadap Platform OJS Jurnal online UIN Salatiga.
- Memonitoring Seluruh Jurnal online UIN Salatiga.
- Mempersiapkan indeksasi dan akreditasi jurnal UIN Salatiga.
- Menjadi Verifikator Sinta untuk UIN Salatiga bertugas memverifikasi dan mensinkron akun SINTA dosen UIN Salatiga.
- Memonitoring pendaftaran Sinta dan Google Scholar dosen dan sinkronisasinya.
- Mengembangkan jaringan kerjasama publikasi dan jurnal.
- Memfasilitasi kegiatan seminar, wokshop, pelatihan publikasi dan jurnal.
- Mengevaluasi setiap tahun kegiatan publikasi dan jurnal.
- Mengupdate dan mensosialisasikan prosedur dan dokumen terbaru jurnal dan publikasi.

REGISTER JOURNAL Accreditation Status
REGISTER JOURNAL Accreditation Status
This journal is published every June and December by Universitas Islam Negeri (UIN) Salatiga, Indonesia. Historically, this journal was accredited along with a score of C (57) at the time of printed journal accreditation in 2015 and then when the online era came it was accredited by the Indonesian Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education (RistekDikti) of the Republic of Indonesia in SINTA (Achieving SINTA 2) at 2018 along with this Announcement and E-Certificate of Journal Accreditation.
Then, The journal applied for Journal re-accreditation and was accredited SINTA 2 on April 7, 2022. The recognition was published in Director Decree (SK No. 105/E/KPT/2022), effective until 2025. This journal has been successfully indexed in CLARIVATE ANALYTICS, Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI) of Web of Science since June 2019.
THE IDEAL MANUSCRIPT FAVORED BY REGISTER JOURNAL EDITORIAL BOARD
THE IDEAL MANUSCRIPT FOR REGISTER JOURNAL FUTURE ISSUES WILL BE:
1. Show the apparent novelty, research gap, and theoretical contribution of the manuscript
2. The focus and scope of REGISTER JOURNAL: applied linguistics and English teaching, but the implementation of linguistics in English teaching will be most favored.

4. The similarity score by using Turnitin or iThenticate should be less than 20 %.
5. The minimum requirement of references is between 30-60 references and 40-80 % taken from reputable International journals.

These are the details of REGISTER JOURNAL author guidelines:
On the part of ABSTRACT: The abstract should briefly describe your entire paper. It comprises the purposes of the research, method, and study findings from the researcher's perspective. It is advised that researchers refrain from citing the works of others when writing abstracts. Instead, the section gives a researcher 15 seconds to provide a narrative for readers to have a mental picture of the entire research s/he has conducted.
On the part of INTRODUCTION: State the objectives of your work and provide an adequate background, avoiding a detailed literature survey or a summary of the results. Explicitly state the gap in the literature, which signifies the significance of your research
On the part of RESEARCH METHOD: This section explains the rationale for the application of specific approaches, methods, procedures, or techniques used to identify, select, and analyze information applied to understand the research problem/project, thereby allowing the readers to evaluate your project’s/study's overall validity and reliability critically.
On the part of RESULT & DISCUSSION: The discussion is written to interpret and describe the significance of your findings in light of what was already known about the issues being investigated and to explain any new understanding or insights about the problem after you have considered the findings. It should connect to the introduction by way of the research questions or hypotheses you posed and the literature you reviewed, but it does not simply repeat or rearrange the introduction; this section should always explain how your study has moved the reader's understanding of the research problem forward from where you left them at the end of the introduction. The research findings in the form of research data are further discussed or critically interpreted with a particular relevant theoretical approach. Data can also be supported with the presentation of tables, images, etc. Captions for the table is written above it with sequenced numbering so that it can be easily referred to, though not put under the pointing sentence/ paragraph
On the part of CONCLUSION: The conclusion is intended to answer the research problems or purposes. It helps the readers understand why your research should matter to them after reading the paper. It is not just a summary of the main topics covered or a re-statement of your research problem, but a synthesis of key points and, if applicable, where you recommend new areas for future research.
