Anton Widyanto: Aceh needs Jihadis Jurnal

[S2 PAI Study Program] Scientific publications and improving the quality of scientific journals, especially at the tertiary level in Aceh, are still one of significant challenges. This can be seen from the still minimum quantity of accredited journals at universities in Aceh, both those under the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education and the Ministry of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia. This was confirmed by the Head of the Master of Islamic Education Study Program, Dr. Anton Widyanto as a speaker at the Scientific Publication and E-journal Governance Workshop at the Ummul Ayman Islamic College (STIs), Pidie Jaya, on Wednesday (19/9/2018). This event was attended by dozens of lecturers, both in their capacity as journal managers and writers.

Mengenal Indeksasi WoS dan tips mudah terindeks

Web of Science (sebelumnya dikenal sebagai Web of Knowledge) adalah layanan pengindeksan sitiran ilmiah berbasis langganan daring. Web of Science (WoS) adalah salah satu database rujukan global terbesar dan paling terkemuka. File PDF ini adalah materi berjudul Mengenal Indeksasi WoS dan tips mudah terindeks. Materi ini diunggah sebagai materi RJI Jawa Tengah Peduli Semeru yang diadakan hari selasa, 21 Desember 2021.

Pengalaman mengelola jurnal terindeks di ESCI Web of Science cukup menarik bagi saya.

Di satu sisi, ada orang yang berpendapat ESCI WoS itu adalah sekadar indexing kelas menengah sejenis DOAJ, EBSCO, ACI bahkan ada yang bilang ESCI WoS itu indexing setengah hati yang belum masuk core collections Web of Science. Core collection dalam konteks ini adalah produk web of Science yang masuk indexing kelas tinggi yaitu SSCI, SCIE dan AHCI.

Di sisi yang lain sejatinya ESCI sudah masuk core collection tapi belum punya Impact Factor dan setidaknya ada Point positif jika sebuah jurnal terindeks di ESCI Web of Science:

ESCI Web of Science adalah jalan lain untuk internasionalisasi jurnal. Bagi pengelola jurnal yang masih belum berani mendaftarkan jurnal ke Scopus/mungkin sudah mendaftar tapi kena embargo. Internasionalisasi jurnal maksudnya akan banyak peminat dari Foreign authors seperti: Turki, Rusia, Pakistan, Iran, Thailand, Malaysia yang tertarik dan menganggap tinggi produk apapun dari WoS meskipun sekadar ESCI WoS. How to Apply to SCOPUS and DOAJ

How to Register Journals and be Indexed on SCOPUS

The Journal must already have an ISSN (list ISSN via LIPI here) and have been published regularly for two years. Journal content must be peer-reviewed content. Journals must also have a minimum English version of the title and abstract of each article. The Journal must-have publication ethics and publication malpractice statement.

If you already have the minimum requirements, please register the Journal to SCOPUS via this link. SCOPUS uses the term "title," which means Journal. The review process can take several months to a maximum of 1 year or more.

How to Register Journals and be Indexed in DOAJ

Read the complete instructions for becoming a "publisher" at DOAJ (Directory of Open Access Journals, click this link. Ensure all the requirements requested can be fulfilled by the Journal. Journal content must be peer-reviewed content.

Then, when you're ready, please fill out the form on this link and submit it. If it is approved, DOAJ will issue a Seal of Approval.
